Post OP

Hi All. Well I'm couch bound for the today. Good news, no miniscus tear. Just got rid of some extra problem causing cartilidge and shaved the bone down a bit. I'm pretty sore today. But the good news is that Dr. Fessler said I could get rid of the crutches as soon as I feel up to it! I'll post some more pics later...since I'll be sitting alot today.

We are definitely sad that Norm and Kathy went back to South Carolina today. We really hate that they live so far away. I especially feel like this was a short week with them, since I was so busy with Erin & Chris's wedding. We are definitley heading South for Christmas this year....good bye snow!

What a day!

Well it was a rough day in the world of a two year old. No idea what cartoons to watch, or what to eat for breakfast. Might as well forget potty training for a few more weeks. We took Daisy to the groomer! She looks so much better!

While waiting for Dsaisy to be finished at the groomer we went to see the progress on the Turf at the football field. We tried to get some fun pictures, but in keeping with the two year old theme, Noah refused to look at the camera! :)

After visiting the field, and picking up Daisy we headed home for a much needed Noah nap time! He slept for almost 2 hours and woke up fantastic! We are tearing up the carpet in the office to get ready for some new carpet. Noah decided to help Daddy! He even got out his own tools!

We are looking forward to Noah's speech meeting tomorrow. We meet with the IU5 for the first time and begin discussing Noah's next steps in speech and pre-school! PRE_SCHOOL...can you believe we are already discussing preschool! UGH!

Happy Birthday!

Today is Jeffrey's 30th birthday! Now he is finally old like the rest of us! I tried to get Noah to send him a special message...but as most of you know 2 year olds are not the most cooperative group!

Here's what we came up with!
Finally, one where he is actually looking at the camera!
Hope you have a great day Uncle Jeffrey!

Galactosemia Update!

It's been a good week for Noah and Doctors! Thursday we went to the ENT for his ear check! Dr. Anon gave us the all clear! We won't need to go back to see him anymore unless we start having ear infections again! Noah was glad to hear that!

Because Noah did such a great job at the Dr. we went to the zoo. It was pretty crowded for a week day afternoon, but we had a great time. As usual, Noah gave part of his lunch to the ducks! The train was his favorite part.

Katy from Dr. Vockley's office at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh called and Noah's gal-1-p results came back in at 3.7! YEAH..in range and lower than last time! We are still waiting on the other test results...but if one is good, the other usually is too!! So we must be doing somthing right!

Greek Fest

We had a busy lakehouse weekend! Our friends Katie, Justin, and Nolan came out to play. The kids had a blast in the water and the sandbox. We had such a great time that they came back and spent the night on Saturday...it was so cute to hear the kids say each other's names! Bill, Noah, Katie, Nolan, and I went to the Greek Fest on Saturday for dinner....Justin was busy being a golf pro! :) The food was amazing! Noah had a hot dog, more than half of my gyro, and half of a plate of fried dough...and was still hungry! The kids had fun dancing with the Greek dancers!
This was Noah dancing at the Greek Fest!

We spent Sunday, organizing some projects for the house...get ready Norm! We have a few small projects for you! :) My in-laws Norm and Kathy, will be here next weekend and we are so excited! Even though we were just in SC, it seems like it was so far away!

Noah anxiously waiting for the Zoo train to take off on Thursday!

We aren't sure what they were looking at!

Wow...What a weekend!

It appears that I am horrible at keeping updated over the weekends! This was a busy one. Daisy got to finally come home on Thursday, after a 2 night stay at the animal hospital. She's doing well and we go back for a glucose check tomorrow afternoon. As long as she keeps improving she will eventually only need to be checked once a month....Daisy is my billion dollar doggie now....meds, insulin needles, vet visits, special food.....gotta love our pets!

Jeffrey, Jill and Emma spent the weekend at the lakehouse with us, before heading to Syracuse. We had a great time visiting. Noah had a very hard time understanding where baby Emma was, once they left. He just kept saying "Emmy?" He will be so excited to see her in a few months! We went to brunch at the Pufferbellies on Sunday with Noah and Emma's great grandma Emma! We are pretty sure that Noah ate more than anyone else at the table! Everytime we thought he was done and tried to take the plate away....he would grab something else!

We finally made it home to Corry again...only to realize that we will probably be heading out to the lake again on Friday...GREEK FEST this weekend! This is the 1st time in four years that we will actually be home and not on vacation during Greek Fest!

Here are a few pictures from this weekend...and a few others I never posted!
We tried to get a nice picture of all of us, but as you can Noah wasn't having it!

It is amazing how every time Noah says "CHEESE" he looks like a pirate!

Noah and Uncle Jeffrey coloring!

Noah's big discovery!
Noah into some serious snacking...lakeside!

I'll post the rest of the pictures soon...they need some editing!

Getting Better

I called to check on Daisy this morning and she had a pretty good night. She ate her dinner, had her insulin upped and started antibiotics. They think that she may have had some sort of bladdar infection. The infection was blocking the insulin absorption (sp?) into her bloodstream, which explains why it wasn't working! They decided to keep her at the vet for one more night! We should be able to pick her up tomorrow...I can't wait. So we aren't out of it yet, but she is getting better each day...and getting closer and closer to having her diabetes regulated!

After we pickup Daisy tomorrow, we are heading to the lake house for the long weekend! We will anxiously be awaiting Jeffery, Jill and Baby Emma's arrival...or as Noah calls her Baby EMEEEEEE! (With a very high pitched EEEEE).
